Looking for an adrenaline rush? Rappel a waterfall

Service Description

Have you ever wanted to experience the outdoors on a different level than the general public? Canyoneering is your opportunity to do so. Stepping away from the popular hikes in the Wasatch Mountain Range, canyoneering allows people to access more terrain off the beaten path. The opportunity is here to completely immerse yourself within nature while getting an adrenaline rush. The experience begins with a hiking approach to either the peak of a small mountain or up the face of a giant, rugged boulder (dependent on the location). The guide will set up an anchor to rig a rappel on bolted chains or wrapped webbing. Don't worry, these anchors will be 100% secure, with no margin of error. With the help of an experienced guide, you will use ropes and technical gear to rappel down beautiful climbs and canyons, some of which include a flowing waterfall! After the rappel, we will simply hike back the same way we arrived, back down to the trailhead! Canyoneering is a recently established sport from the mid 1950s that has evolved from the original sport of mountaineering. The small canyon community is extremely welcoming with open arms as newcomers learn the skills to descend via rope. We are STOKED about your interest in canyoneering, and we hope to see you soon! What we will supply: Ropes, rappel devices, locking carabiners, harness, helmet, safety clips. What you bring: Required: Hiking shoes/boots, extra pair of socks, long pants, shirt, extra layer (in case it is cold), at least 2 liters of water, a car (to meet your guide at the trailhead). Optional: light gloves for rope burn protection, sunglasses, sunhat, sunscreen, electrolytes
